Submit an Abstract.
Free paper sessions will take place throughout the meeting.
At the BAPO Annual meeting 2026, there will be free presentation sessions on both days. Each presentation will be for 4 minutes and 1 minute for questions. There will be 20 oral presentations as well as posters.
Abstract submissions are now invited online. We are using Oxford Abstracts for submissions. Please note, you need to login or sign up to Oxford Abstracts to submit – it is a straightforward process.
Abstracts must be submitted by midnight on 24th June 2026. Submitters can indicate whether they prefer an oral presentation or poster presentation, however the final decision will be taken by the BAPO Scientific Committee.
We are accepting abstracts in the following categories:
- Paediatric Airway
- Paediatric Head & Neck
- Paediatric Otology
- Paediatric Rhinology
- General
- Innovation/ Education
Submitting an abstract
Abstracts should be prepared as follows. A maximum word limit of 250 words (excluding title, authors and references) will be strictly enforced. If the word count is found to be greater than this, the abstract will be rejected outright, without further consideration. Abstracts should be structured, with subheadings Introduction,
Methods, Results, Conclusion.
First author must present the paper.
Please ensure you supply all author details for your submission to be marked as complete.
Please note that abstracts must be unpublished and must not have been presented previously at a national meeting in the UK.
BAPOJ Research Grant
We are also inviting submissions for the BAPOJ research grant through this portal (You must be a BAPOJ member – you can join here. This BAPO Grant of up to £1500 towards funding a paediatric otorhinolaryngology based research project will be awarded at BAPO 2026. Those successfully shortlisted will be invited to present their proposal at the September Annual meeting in front of a panel of judges and be prepared to “pitch perfect” for a chance of winning the prize.
Please submit a proposal max 250 words detailing your research project and how you would use the £1500 grant if you were successful.
