Presentation Guideline: Oral

This guidance is provided for the benefit of conference delegates who have been invited to deliver and oral presentation.

General format

Please be prepared to give an oral presentation which is eight minutes in duration. An additional two minutes has been allocated for additional questions from the session moderator and audience afterwards. If you wish to use slides the recommended format is Microsoft Powerpoint (.pptx), Apple Keynote (.key) or Open Office Presentation (.odp)

Picture and video format

The recommended format for videos is MPEG-4 with H.264 encoding, also known as MPEG4 AVC. Pictures should be JPEG or PNG format with recommended resolution of 72 dpi.

Patient consent

If you include any patient identifiable data such as pictures or videos ensure that you have appropriate consent for publication to the public domain. You may be asked to provide written evidence that such consent has been attained.

Intellectual property

Please do not include any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright, or have permission from the copyright holder to publish the material to the public domain.
