BAPO Council Nomination

BAPO » Council

Executive positions

The Honorary Secretary (Steven Powell), Associate Secretary (Ravi Thevasagayam) and Treasurer (Will Hellier) will have concluded their four year terms in September 2021.  They are eligible to stand for 2 further 2 year terms as per the constitution.

Steven Powell has indicated that he will step down as Honorary Secretary.  Ravi Thevasagayam has announced he will stand down as Associate Secretary but will put himself forward for election as Honorary Secretary.  Will Hellier has announced he will stand for a further two year term as Treasurer.

This is a call for nominations for each of these positions. Candidates should be current or former council members ideally, as they will have familiarity with the workings of the organization.  Nominations are to be proposed and seconded by BAPO members. Nominations are to be received by 8th March 2021.  If there are more multiple candidates for a position there will be an election by elected members of BAPO council on 11th March 2021.  A list of voting council members will be made available to candidates.

There will be two to three vacancies for BAPO council members to serve four year terms from this September.  A call for nominations will be made prior to the September meeting which will take place in Birmingham.
